Bio

Music has always been the thread that leads me back to myself. One of the few things that lets me get out of my head.

I grew up surrounded by my dad's CDs cycling through the house: The Police, Alicia Keys, Djavan. At age nine, I picked up the clarinet. At thirteen, my friends introduced me to punk rock, and suddenly clarinet felt uncool. I bought a bass guitar and learned just enough (with a little help from my friends) to start playing in a band. I spent the next decade learning from Mark Hoppus, Flea, Chris Wolstenholme, Aston Barrett, Verdine White.

After college in 2016, the real world hit hard and I fell into the blues—literally and figuratively. No clear goals, friends scattered, evenings that stretched empty. I bought a guitar to chase the sounds of John Mayer, Stevie Ray Vaughan, B.B. King.

After several years on the guitar and writing scribbles, songs started to flow. I took voice lessons, learned to use Logic Pro, bought a mic and an interface. I started recording my first album at home in 2024. In 2026, I released Compartments under vja—a blend of dream pop haze, neo-psychedelic color, and garage rock grit.

Moving forward, I want to continue making music and start collaborating with others—write, produce, create. Please get in touch if anything resonates with you!
